With the theme “Autumn of Fantasies”, this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival at Gardens by the Bay is set to return with numerous large-scale lantern displays inspired by imaginary worlds and natural wonders.

The festival will feature its widest lantern display yet, Leaping over the Dragon’s Gate, which will span 70m across with a height of 10.8m.

Floating on the Dragonfly Lake, the display will depict the legend of the carp transforming into a dragon.

Besides the lantern displays, visitors can also look forward to local and Asian food, free nightly cultural performances, and Chinese artisans showcasing their skills in engraving, dough figurine sculpting and sugar art.

The festival will also feature a Fun Zone, where visitors can play childhood games such as Goli and Kuti Kuti, and try to solve lantern riddles.

The upcoming festival will run from 6 to 24 September.

Other lantern displays to look out for include The Phoenix and the Peony, Jade Rabbit and the Moon, and Sky Lantern Dream:
