Though Mrs. Hinch has tried her best, we can’t say we find cleaning the kitchen enjoyable.

That being said, we don’t mind washing up the odd pan or two and wiping down surfaces can feel oddly satisfying, but there is one job in particular that always feels like a chore: cleaning the microwave.

It’s tricky, it’s fiddly and it always leaves you trying to contort yourself into odd positions and angles to get into the hard-to-reach corners.

Plus, after all your hard work, another household member reheats last night’s dinner and suddenly (and often inexplicably) you’ve got bolognese everywhere and your cleaning efforts seem pointless.

It’s infuriating, which is likely to be the reason why this microwave cleaning tool - shaped to look like a woman (or Mama as she’s affectionately referred to) - seems to be so angry.

The good news is though, this top-rated product can clean your microwave for you in just seven minutes flat.

Why we rate it:

Not only does ‘Mama’ help lift grime and food remnants so that we have less elbow work to do, she doesn’t use chemicals in order to do it.

Plus, the Lego-like lady has an unamused look on her face, which is fair given she's doing the dirty work for you.

How it works:

Remove the top of Mama's hair by twisting counter-clockwise and pour vinegar and water up to each of the respective markings. Replace the top and then microwave for 5 to 8 minutes on a high setting.

Once the time has elapsed, simply remove the gadget and just wipe down the microwave with a sponge, napkin or rag, and - voila - a spotlessly clean microwave

What the reviews say:

With over 1,200 reviews, it’s clear that fellow microwave-cleaning-loathers are pretty pleased with the product.

Those who left reviews frequently said it was "worth the money" and "brilliant".

Several people felt it helped them get round to cleaning the microwave more often and meant they didn't have to use kitchen cupboard essentials like vinegar or lemon juice, which leave further smells in the cooking essential.
