Mickey Guyton Says She Felt "Broken" Before She Met Her Husband Grant Savoy
Country singer Mickey Guyton and her husband Grant Savoy have been together for over a decade. Although the couple rarely makes red carpet appearances together, Mickey always posts the sweetest Instagrams honoring her relationship with Grant and their adorable growing family.
We did a little digging to see who exactly stole Mickey's heart all those years ago—plus, these wedding photo throwbacks are to die for!
Grant is a lawyer from Kauai, Hawaii. Not only is he a co-founder at Solouki | Savoy, LLP, but he's also Mickey's biggest fan. He and Mickey met through his stepsister in 2010, who also happens to be one of the singer's best friends. The pair dated for three years before getting engaged in 2013 and married four years later.
Mickey shared via Instagram that the start of their relationship was not all fun and games, but it sure sounds like Grant was very supportive and patient. She wrote in an Instagram caption:
"When this man walked into my life I was broken. I put him through hell because I was so hurt. But he persisted and loved me through all of my imperfections and transgressions. He put me on a pedestal that I didn’t think I deserved and showed me I was worth it. He now gives me the courage to be the human and artist that I was always meant to be."
Their wedding was a small and intimate affair held in Kauai in June 2017, with plenty of sweet photo ops and a little tropical flair. At the time, she told People magazine why she wanted something on the smaller side: "Having a big wedding is really not my thing, so when my family decided on a vacation to Kauai, I thought, ‘Why not let it be a family vacation turned wedding?"
According to People, she and Grant married on the beach in front of just 23 guests and later celebrated with a traditional luau at the reception.
As for their growing family, Mickey and Grant welcomed their first child, a son named Grayson, in February 2021. She shared on Instagram that giving birth was "the hardest and most beautiful thing" she had ever done, along with a sweet photo of little Grayson in the hospital.
Since welcoming Grayson, Mickey's shared darling snapshots of family adventures all while making a mark in the country music scene.
