Michelle Yeoh wears gorgeous green gown in Cannes
Michelle Yeoh wore a beautiful green gown in Cannes on Sunday evening (21 May), to attend another of the festival's premieres.
The picture of sophistication, Michelle wore a sleek green gown to the 76th Cannes Film Festival. Attending the premiere of Firebrand, Michelle paired her ruffled green gown with a dramatic necklace, black gloves, and matching court heels.
Michelle's gown was Balenciaga Haute Couture, and featured a beautiful draping cape that she wore across her shoulders.
At the Kering Women In Motion Dinner in Cannes, Michelle wore yet another elegant gown. This time opting for a classic black gown paired with long white gloves, Michelle was honoured with Kering’s Women in Motion Award.
An evening dedicated to the accomplishments and work of women in culture and the arts, the Women In Motion Dinner was attended by Leonardo DiCaprio, Rebel Wilson and Salma Hayek, amongst other stars.
After a fun-filled few days, Michelle let her hair down as the evening went on, having a wonderful time dancing with Brie Larson to some live music.
Michelle gave a heartwarming speech during her acceptance, discussing the possibilities out there for women.
“For too long we as women have been left out of rooms and conversations. We have been told the door is closed to us,” she said. “Well, Virginia Woolf once said, ‘there is no gate, no lock, no bolt that you can set upon the freedom of my mind.’ Our ideas are endless. Our passion is infinite. And we have come to knock that door down.”
This award comes just a few months after Michelle won her Best Actress Oscar for Everything Everywhere All at Once.
