Michael Weatherly Takes Off With Pilot Case in New ‘Bull’ Clip (Exclusive Video)

Dr. Bull is not who you think of when you hear the phrase “fly the friendly skies.”

In this week’s episode of the eponymous CBS drama, Bull and his Trial Analysis Corporation (TAC) team must formulate a new defense strategy when they discover the jury has a subconscious gender bias toward their client, a female pilot accused of negligence after one of her flights crashes.

In a Wrap-exclusive clip from this week’s episode, Bull meets the pilot and her lawyer, who is content to take a plea deal. Bull won’t hear of it, however, displaying his characteristic disdain for all lawyers.

Weatherly plays psychologist and trial consultant Dr. Jason Bull, who specializes in knowing how a jury will vote before even they do. The character is loosely based on the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw.

The series also stars Freddy Rodriguez, Geneva Carr, Jaime Lee Kirchner, Annabelle Attanasio, and Chris Jackson. Mark Goffman, Paul Attanasio, Dr. Phil McGraw, Steven Spielberg, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank and Jay McGraw serve as executive producers.

The series got off to an incredibly strong start upon its premiere on Sept. 20. Airing between “NCIS” (Weatherly’s former stomping ground) and “NCIS: New Orleans,” the show pulled in 15.6 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic.
