Michael Ang is proud of nephew's achievement
3 Jun – Michael Ang is one proud father figure, after finding out that his nephew Ryan has been called for an interview by the Universiti Malaya (UM).
On 1 June, the local filmmaker posted a screenshot of the said post, which showed that Ryan has been called for an interview to enrol in UM's Bachelor's Degree Programme in Medicine for the academic year of 2021/2022.
"Praise be to Allah! A really great news on the first day of MCO! Ryan has been called for an interview by Universiti Malaya. I hope he will succeed and finally enter his dream university in Malaysia!" he wrote.
It is noted that Michael has always been proud of Ryan, who, he said has been under his care since the latter was two months old.
Last year, the director shared on social media that Ryan received straight As on his SPM result, and wrote, "Congrats to my son. I never thought you're very clever. I can't believe I have someone smart in the family."
He also added in jest "I thought they all only knew how to shop."
He also revealed that Ryan's dream was to become a doctor - a dream that is now getting nearer to being achieved if his interview goes well.
