Meng Jia leaves message about Miss A's disbandment

2 Jan – Chinese singer Meng Jia, also known formerly as Jia, recently expressed her thoughts about the disbandment of her former idol group, Miss A.

As reported on Phoenix, the singer, who posted a message on Weibo on 27 November, stated that she has mixed feelings upon finding out that Miss A is officially no more.

"First of all, Fei-Jia-Min-Suzy created "MissA". I am very grateful for all the time spent with JYP and the other three members. After years of training, I was able to be the best version of myself," wrote the singer.

Jia also stated that people will eventually have to learn to be independent, and that the best way to show gratitude is to continue moving forward.

"I hope that all of you will love my own music. I am still in the process of growth, and will need your support in the coming days," she added.

The Chinese singer was the first member to leave the group when she decided not to renew her contract with JYP Entertainment in May 2016.

Min followed her footsteps in November this year.
