Melania Trump wears bold yellow and pink outfit at NATO reception hosted by the Queen

Melania Trump made a style statement last night in a bold yellow and pink outfit at the NATO reception.

The First Lady, 49, attended a reception for NATO leaders hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace, together with her husband Donald Trump, 73. The special reception was held to mark 70 years of the NATO Alliance.

As is traditional for the US First Lady when visiting Buckingham Palace, Melania was pictured accompanying the Queen into the reception room at the Palace.

Her hair was styled in a glamorous wavy blow dry and, make-up wise, she had a deep tan, dark eye make-up and a glossy lip.

Melania’s close relationships with her fellow high-profile attendees was clear: she was seen making conversation with the Queen as they walked, and warmly greeting French President Emmanuel Macron.

Earlier in the day, the Trumps attended afternoon tea at Clarence House with Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, who greeted them at the doorway.

Caped looks such as last night’s are a favourite of Melania’s: she also wore a red caped gown during her last visit to the UK, to a lunch with Prince Charles and the Duchess Camilla at Winfield House, the residence of the US Ambassador.

For Melania’s previous visit to Buckingham Palace – a state banquet in June – she wore a somewhat demure look compared to yesterday’s: a floor-length ice-white ballgown.

Earlier this week, Melania unveiled the White House Christmas decorations. She shared a video of the look on her official Twitter and Instagram accounts. This year’s display is a homage to “The Spirit of America”.
