Ever since Inauguration Day, first lady Melania Trump has been keeping a low profile, returning to her regular routine in New York City. Yet for the weekend, she met up with her husband (who’s living and working in the White House while she’s staying put in Manhattan for the foreseeable future) in Palm Beach, Fla. at the president’s Mar-a-Lago club.

Hosting the 60th annual Red Cross Gala on Saturday night, the couple dressed up in black tie. With President Trump in a tuxedo, he made a grand entrance with FLOTUS by his side. Mrs. Trump popped among a sea of men in penguin suits and secret service agents blending in with the crowd by wearing a hot-pink gown (designer information has yet to be revealed).

The silhouette, curve-hugging with a V-neckline, was simple, but she accessorized with massive emerald and diamond earrings for something extra. Her hair was styled in its usual center part blowout and her lipstick was nearly the same color as her dress.

This isn’t the first time the first lady has chosen that particular shade of pink. At a town hall debate in early October, she wore a $1,100 hot-pink pussy-bow blouse from Gucci with matching pants. This outfit came just days after a Access Hollywood tape leaked with her husband saying, “When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p***y. You can do anything.” The Internet exploded with speculation that she was secretly throwing shade at the now-president and even secretly signaling her support for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

When Melania isn’t wearing black, she’s usually sporting bright colors, with reds and pinks being her favorites. In fact, when meeting her husband at the Palm Beach airport on Friday afternoon, the first lady wore a $2,095 Givenchy cape dress, which is available online, with matching $595 Christian Louboutin flats.

Surrounding the glitz and glamour of the Trump’s weekend getaway, around 2,000 people marched outside of Trump Plaza — just a few miles away from the Mar-a-Lago estate — in protest of Trump’s presidency, specifically the immigration ban that has inspired rallies since last week when the executive order was signed. Meanwhile, on Sunday, a federal appeals court denied the Justice Department’s request to immediately reinstate the ban after a federal judge in Seattle, Wash. granted a nationwide emergency order blocking the ban’s effects nationwide.
