Melania Trump Wore a $2,645 Off-the-Shoulder LBD to the Debate

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton debated for the first time on Monday night at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. And sitting in the businessman’s support section was his wife, Melania, wearing a little black dress with a big price tag of $2,645.

While the former supermodel has remained in the background throughout her husband’s campaign, delivering just two speeches in over a year, her clothing choices always stand out, and her latest look was no exception.

Designed by French fashion designer Roland Mouret, the Belvedere off-the-shoulder stretch-knit dress is touted as being “effortlessly glamorous” and “cut from smoothing and sculpting” stretch-knit in order “to frame the décolletage and shoulders.”

It’s also “seamed to accentuate the smallest part of your waist.”

The piece is currently available to purchase online — but that might not be the case for long. After Melania wore a white Roksanda Ilincic dress with dramatic sleeves (and, at $2,190, a dramatic price) to the Republican National Convention in July, it quickly sold out. According to Women’s Wear Daily, Melania actually bought the white dress herself from Net-A-Porter without the help of a stylist.
