For the final day of the Trump family state visit, Melania dressed diplomatically in an outfit with nods to both the US and UK.

The First Lady joined her husband US President Donald Trump in Portsmouth this afternoon to commemorate the D-Day landings.

For the occasion, the 49-year-old wore a cream belted coat by NYC label The Row - the brainchild of fashion twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Further demonstrating her trend know-how, she paired the look with patent Dior heels while keeping her hair swept into a low bun.

Seeking inspiration from the Duchess of Sussex, she finished the daytime attire with a matching Philip Treacy hat - the Windsor clan’s go-to milliner.

Though it’s not the first time Trump has looked to the royal style muse for inspiration, as she chose a £5,610 gown by Meghan’s wedding dress designer, Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy, for last night’s US state dinner at Winfield House.

Trump was photographed welcoming guests including Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall to the ceremony in a sweeping red caped gown while her husband opted for a traditional tux.
