Is Meghan's mum Doria Ragland in the UK?

While reports swirled that Meghan was enjoying time with her mum after she ‘pulled out’ of Prince Harry’s South Africa trip due to concerns about the zika virus, it’s believed Doria is still in L.A. Photo: Getty Images

While Prince Harry has been visiting dignitaries in Zambia on behalf of his grandmother, the Queen, Meghan Markle is reported to be resting up at home.

And while it was believed that the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex’s mother, Doria Ragland, was keeping her company, sources now claim that’s not the case at all.

Reports swirled that Meghan was enjoying time with her mum, however, it’s believed Doria is still in LA.

“Contrary to reports that Doria Ragland is in the UK with Duchess Meghan (while Prince Harry visits Zambia), sources confirm that she is actually in Los Angeles,” royal commentator for ABC, Omid Scobie, said on Twitter.

Prince Harry flew out of the UK on Saturday night to begin his two-day trip, while his wife remained in London.

Doria, who was the only member of Meghan’s family to attend her wedding to Prince Harry on May 19 uses the Private Suite terminal at Heathrow Airport, meaning it’s nearly impossible for photographers to know when she touches down in London.

However, while it’s being claimed Doria decided to skip a trip to the UK while Harry was away, it’s highly likely that the yoga instructor is simply waiting for Christmas to visit the royal newlyweds.

It’s believed the Queen has invited Doria to join the royal family for their annual Christmas dinner spread at Sandringham.

Last week, Royal expert and editor of Majesty magazine Ingrid Seward, told Grazia that the Queen has a very bizarre tradition at Sandringham, which would leave any guest feeling awkward.

The 92-year-old Monarch reportedly makes everyone around the table weigh themselves before and after they dig into their Christmas Day dinner.
