Meghan Trainor is “scared” of wearing jeans for long periods of time.
The All About That Bass hitmaker is known for her glamorous sense of style, often sporting sequin dresses and chic jumpsuits to red carpet events.
But while Meghan isn’t afraid to make a statement with her outfits, in an interview with Ashley Graham for her Pretty Big Deal podcast, she insisted fans will rarely see her in denim.
“I’m scared of jeans. I hate jeans. But I’ll rock them if they’re the boyfriend (style), or whatever they’re called. Baggy. And I’ve rocked ‘em tight,” the 26-year-old shared. “But my problem is, I can’t wear jeans and sit down. It hurts me, my stomach. It leaves a red line and if (they are tight) near my vagina area, the FUPA (fat upper pelvic area), I don’t want details of that showing. You will never see a camel toe on me, ever! I won’t let it happen.”
Meghan, a vocal advocate of the body positivity movement, also explained that she isn’t afraid to wear shapewear underneath her outfits. And prior to her chat with Ashley, she briefly considered ditching her Spanx, but her stylist convinced her otherwise.
“I love Spanx, I’m wearing them right now! I was at the Empire State Building (before) and it was windy. I was like, ‘I don’t want to wear them, I’m good.’ And then they’re like, ‘You should wear these.’ I had my Marilyn Monroe moment, 100 times. So, Spanx came in (handy),” she smiled.
