U.S. TV personality Meghan McCain is pregnant again eight months after revealing she had suffered a miscarriage.

The 35-year-old The View regular revealed the news that she and her husband, Ben Domenech, are expecting their first child via social media on Sunday (22Mar20), adding she would be joining fellow co-hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg by appearing on the daily show via satellite from Monday due to coronavirus concerns.

"My husband Ben and I have been blessed to find out I'm pregnant," she wrote. "Although this isn’t how I expected to announce my pregnancy, both we and our families are excited to share the news with you all. I consulted with my doctors and they advised me that for the safety of our baby and myself, I should be extra vigilant about limiting the amount of people we come in contact with.

"Starting immediately, I’ll be joining the millions of Americans who are self-isolating as a precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As a result, I will be appearing on The View from home via satellite."

She added: "I am indebted to our producers and crew. I also want to acknowledge the heroes - the doctors, nurses, grocery and pharmacy workers, journalists, police officers, firemen and military - who are on the front lines of this fight. Please stay safe. Wash your hands and avoid public gatherings and I will continue to see you each morning on The View."

The pregnancy news comes months after McCain revealed she had suffered a miscarriage in a piece she wrote for The New York Times.

"For a brief moment, I had the privilege of seeing myself in the sisterhood of motherhood," she wrote. "I had a miscarriage. I loved my baby, and I always will. To the end of my days I will remember this child - and whatever children come will not obscure that."

The miscarriage news came a year after Meghan lost her father, Senator John McCain.
