Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Just Lost Another Key Member of Their Staff

From Cosmopolitan

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal staff has already seen some shake-upsover the past couple of months, and it looks like they may not stop anytime soon-apparently, the Duke and Duchess' chief protection officer resigned yesterday after only six months on the job.

The top female police officer, who is not named, "was the first woman to have held such a key role in keeping members of the Royal Family safe," reports the Daily Mail. While her resignation had nothing to do with the officer clashing with Meghan, the officer did reportedly find it challenging to "accommodate her wish to be seen as ‘one of the people.’"

It sounds like it has been a tough transition for Meghan to adjust to the security protocols of the royal family. According to a source, "Unlike someone who has grown up in the Royal Family and has been used to having close protection from an early age, it can be constraining. Even though [Meghan] was a famous actress, she could still do what she wanted in the way of getting around freely...But in her current role she can’t go anywhere without her protection team, and that’s a massive constraining force on an individual like her."

Kensington Palace declined to comment, but FWIW if you're trained in personal security and a fan of Meghan, this might be a good time to fax your resume to the Queen!
