Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is well known for her enviable gold jewellery collection. The 38-year-old is often seen sporting stacks of bracelets, delicate chain necklaces and multiple rings.

So, it’s no surprise that for the mum-of-one’s first official engagement following maternity leave, she wore an assortment of gold bangles.

One was a piece from from her late mother-in-law Princess Diana’s collection and another a minimal bracelet from her own jewellery box.

At £115, the simplistic gold bangle is actually fairly attainable. It’s the Turquoise Mountain Oshna Bangle by London-based jeweller, Pippa Small.

The piece is made from 18 carat gold plated silver and still available to buy.

As with a lot of Meghan’s purchases, the bracelet has a worthy backstory.

According to the jeweller’s website, every piece is handmade in Kabul by the men and women artisans of the Turquoise Mountain Foundation, which helps to train and employ young people in meaningful creative jobs.

The arts foundation was started by Prince Charles and Hamid Karzi to protect and promote traditional craft, and Pippa Small joined the organisation to revive traditional gold work and provide training.
