SINGAPORE — Mediacorp's talent management arm, The Celebrity Agency (TCA), announced today that it had partnered global talent management companies to boost its artistes in Singapore on the international stage.

Actor Pierre Png (Crazy Rich Asians, Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd) will be represented by The Gersh Agency and Luber Roklin Entertainment overseas.

Six other actors will be represented by Bohemia Group – Zoe Tay, Rebecca Lim, Chantalle Ng, Desmond Tan, Zhang Ze Tong and James Seah. More talents from Mediacorp may join Bohemia in the near future.

On the partnerships, Ivy Low, Head of TCA, said: “We are happy to be partnering three very established agencies in bringing our local talents to bigger markets. This is part of our continuous effort to provide more opportunities for our artistes to work on international projects. At the same time, we also hope to showcase homegrown talents to a wider audience and are looking forward to seeing them shine on the global stage!”

TCA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bohemia Group last month for the latter to represent Mediacorp artistes to explore suitable casting opportunities for international film projects. The six talents were identified by Bohemia Group for their versatility and bilingualism.

Established in 1992, Bohemia Group represents more than 500 clients globally and has offices worldwide, including in Los Angeles, New York, London, Seattle, New Orleans, Auckland, Berlin, Seoul, and Boston.

Susan Ferris, CEO of Bohemia Group, said: “As part of Bohemia Group's ongoing objective to build a global network representing the best talent around the world, we are excited to be partnering with Mediacorp. This latest addition to our global family connects us to some incredible artistes, and we are thrilled they have joined our curated family of talent. We are looking forward to what this year is going to bring.”

Separately, TCA made an agreement with The Gersh Agency and Luber Roklin Entertainment for the companies to represent Pierre Png in exploring potential global projects.

Png first appeared on international screens when he took on the role of Michael Teo in Hollywood movie Crazy Rich Asians in 2018. Playing the husband of Astrid Leong (played by Gemma Chan), Png received positive reviews for his first Hollywood acting gig.

The Gersh Agency represents well-known Asian celebrities including Carina Lau, Iko Uwais, Dong-seok Ma, Tony Jaa, and Andy On in the United States, with a roster of more than 3,000 global clients.

Luber Roklin Entertainment's clients include KJ Apa (Riverdale), Stephen Moyer (True Blood), Deborah Ann Woll (Daredevil), Hannah John-Kamen (Resident Evil), Lewis Tan (Mortal Kombat), Adam Goldberg (Equalizer), and Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings).

Mike Staudt, talent agent of The Gersh Agency, said: “We have a very keen eye for strong international talent, and Asian talent more specifically, and look forward to starting our relationship of working with Mediacorp.”

Matt Luber, partner of Luber Roklin Entertainment, said: “We are excited to bring Pierre into our fold; he is an extremely talented actor with worldwide appeal.”
