MCU stars dominate the E! People's Choice Awards 2019

12 Nov – MCU star Robert Downey Jr. might not want an Oscar for his portrayal of Iron Man in "Avengers: Endgame" but he's getting a golden trophy for that iconic role anyway, albeit from a different awards show.
Not forgetting the late creator of the superhero character he has been playing for over a decade, the actor took the time to honour the Marvel legend in his acceptance speech at the E! People's Choice Awards 2019.
"To the late, great Stan Lee," Downey Jr. said. "This is for you, buddy!"
The 54-year-old gave the tribute after winning Male Movie Star of 2019 at the 45th edition of the awards ceremony that recently concluded at Barker Hangar, Santa Monica, California.
MCU was the big winner of the night as its movies and stars dominated almost half of the movie categories.
Aside from Downey Jr., Zendaya walked away with Female Movie Star of 2019 and Tom Holland won Action Movie Star of 2019 for their respective roles as MJ and the titular superhero in "Spider-Man: Far from Home".
"Avengers: Endgame", the movie that both Downey Jr. and Holland starred in, was also named Movie of 2019 and Action Movie of 2019.

As for Zendaya, she received a second accolade, Drama TV Star of 2019, for her role in "Euphoria".
She was not the only star who won awards in both the movie and TV categories, as Cole Sprouse was awarded Drama Movie Star of 2019 for his starring role in "Five Feet Apart" and Male TV Star of 2019 for his "Riverdale" role.
Meanwhile, Kevin Hart, who accepted Comedy Act of 2019, made his first public appearance since his car accident in September that left him with a serious back injury.
