26 Nov– Max Eigenmann recently took to social media to express her happiness over winning Best Actress at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards last week.

The actress shared a photo of herself at the event in Brisbane kissing her accolade, and wrote, "Extremely proud to have represented our country at this year's Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA). I am so grateful and deeply humbled to have been given the chance to be among such amazing creatives from many countries."

"Words cannot express how surprised and overwhelmed I am to win the Best Performance by an Actress award. I am beaming with joy knowing that I have made you all PROUD & HAPPY with this recognition," she said.

Eigenmann won the award for her performance in the Raymund Ribay film, "Verdict", which was produced by award-winning filmmaker, Brillante Mendoza.

Co-starring Rene Durian, Jordhen Suan and the late Kristoffer King, the movie tells the story of a wife who seeks justice for her and her daughter as victims of domestic abuse.

It was also selected as the Philippine entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards.
