Max Cheung conquers fear of heights for "Master Z"

16 Oct – Martial arts actor Max Cheung recently revealed that the biggest challenge of doing the movie, "Master Z: Ip Man Legacy" was conquering his fear of heights.

As reported on China Times, the actor who appeared at the press conference for the said movie at the Busan International Film Festival - where the movie was selected as the closing film, shared that he was forced to face his acrophobia when he had to shoot fighting scenes atop of old Hong Kong signboards.

"I have no problem standing on top of it and looking at the scenes. But to shoot action scenes on them was a really big challenge for me," he said.

Max said that due to the difficult nature of the scenes, the whole team spent two weeks rehearsing the action choreography before filming it.

"Thankfully, [director Yuen Woo-ping] designed the stunt flawlessly after considering all the factors and risks," he said.

The upcoming film, co-starring Michelle Yeoh, Tony Jaa, and Dave Bautista, is set to be released sometime this year.
