The actor died on Saturday at age 54
Matthew Perry is being honored by his fans.
In a video posted by NBC News, fans could be seen gathering outside the building, located in the West Village of Manhattan, leaving flowers nearby on the street and taking photos of the locale.
The location featured on Friends is a six-story residential building that sits above the Mediterranean restaurant Little Owl.
The New Yorker previously reported that the first shot of the apartment building was featured on the sitcom's pilot episode on Sept. 22, 1994.
In 2017, Perry worked not far from the famed apartment building when he wrote and starred in the Off-Broadway play The End of Longing.
The production took place at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in the West Village, which is a 2-minute walk from the Friends locale.
Perry was found dead at a Los Angeles-area home on Saturday.
TMZ reported that the star was found in a jacuzzi at the residence, and no drugs or foul play were located at the scene.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department later told PEOPLE that officers responded to a call at Perry's address regarding the death of a male in his 50s, though the deceased's identity was not confirmed.
Following his death, a statement was issued from Warner Bros. about the beloved actor: “We are devastated by the passing of our dear friend Matthew Perry. Matthew was an incredibly gifted actor and an indelible part of the Warner Bros. Television Group family. The impact of his comedic genius was felt around the world, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of so many. This is a heartbreaking day, and we send our love to his family, his loved ones, and all of his devoted fans."
