24 Mar - Mat Yeung recently expressed helplessness over the fact that a number of netizens are boycotting his new drama, "Airport Strikers", which will premiere next week.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who appeared at a face mask distribution event held by the production of the said series, stated that he knew that some people would not watch his drama due to his support of the Hong Kong police.
"This is out of my control. Everybody can make their own choices. If they don't think they will like it, then they don't have to watch it," he said.
Mat added that his only hope is to entertain and spread positive energy to everyone.
When mentioned that the drama was originally shelved due to its subject matter that had been a sensitive topic to many Hong Kong people especially the protesters, the actor said that he was unaware that it was postponed in the first place.
"I just think that the company was only trying to find a suitable time to launch the drama," he said.
