Mat Yeung apologises for public damage from car accident

14 Aug – Mat Yeung has recently expressed his apology for the public damage he caused following his recent car accident.

As reported on Mingpao the actor who spoke with "Scoop" following his treatment at the hospital, stated that he made the mistake of driving to his work studio in his tired state in the wee morning of 8 August, which caused the crash.

"I drove my car to my studio to study a script at 1.30am. My car slammed into the rail and was overturned at the bend of Peak Road and I don't remember what happened afterwards," he said.

Mat added that he only realised that he was helped out by the police through the news, and stressed that he didn't do the breathalyser test because his head was too dizzy after the accident.

"I have been very busy and hadn't had much sleep recently. I lost my focus for a moment while driving and had the accident. I am so sorry that this incident had caused a lot of concern from everybody," he said.

The actor also expressed his sorry for wrecking public property in the incident. However, he did not address whether or not he was drunk, as previously reported.
