While the Marvel Cinematic Universe will obviously continue on for many, many more years to come, the departures of Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers and Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark meant Avengers: Endgame actually brought some finality to the saga.
Marvel has decided to mark this occasion by releasing a trailer for all of the Infinity Saga, and it is packed full of so many incredible moments from the past 23 films that it’ll make you happy, nostalgic, and then instantly weep. You can watch the trailer in full below.
The above clip actually premiered at the San Diego Comic-Con back in July, and it squeezes clips from all 23 entries of the Marvel Cinematic Universe into just under 2 minutes and 40 seconds worth of footage.
Just in case you’ve forgotten one or two of them, the list of Marvel films in the Cinematic Universe so far have been Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, and The Avengers.
That’s just phase 1, too. Phase 2 kicked off with Iron Man 3, and was then followed by Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians Of The Galaxy, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, and Ant-Man.
Phase 3 is where Marvel made cinematic history, though. It began with Captain America: Civil War, and then went on to include Doctor Strange, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man And The Wasp, Captain Marvel, the highest grossing in cinematic history Avengers: Endgame, and then Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Marvel are far from done, though. Phase 4 starts with Black Widow on May 1, 2020, and then we’ll have six films in 2 years in the shape of The Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend Of The Ten Rings, Doctors Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, and then Black Panther II on May 6, 2022.
