Daredevil in The Avengers? It might just happen…

During an interview with io9, Marvel boss Kevin Feige unexpectedly confirmed something awesome – that one day, the Marvel TV shows will crossover with the movies.

Asked whether a character’s appearance in the TV shows would write them out of a potential movie appearance, his answer says it all:

“Not necessarily,” he admitted. “The future’s a long time. So, the truth is, I don’t really know, but there are a lot of TV shows being made, and hopefully we’ll continue to make a lot of movies. At some point, there’s going to be a crossover. Crossover, repetition, or something.”

But why is that such a big deal?

Well, it looks as though Marvel has completely changed its tune. After all, Kevin Feige himself has previously ruled out any kind of crossover between the Marvel films and TV shows. Now, it seems it’s actually a possibility.

Does this mean we’ll see Daredevil in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’?

Well… no. Sadly, that’s not likely.

After all, from Kevin Feige’s comments, it sounds as though there are no current plans to crossover the film and TV divisions. He said it himself: “The future’s a long time”. So if it really is going to happen, don’t expect it for a good while yet. Still, the possibilities are pretty intriguing.

Of course, superheroes mingle rather regularly in the comic books, and it would be no huge surprise to see Matt Murdock fighting the good fight alongside The Avengers or making an appearance in any number of upcoming movies under the guise of an ace attorney.

But for now, we’ll just have to wait with our fingers crossed.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ stars Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin.

Joe and Anthony Russo will direct the film, based on a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ heads to cinemas on 27 April 2018.
