Martin del Rosario wins at Asian Television Awards
13 Jan – Martin del Rosario recently bagged the Best Leading Male Performance - Digital at the 24th Asian Television Awards.
As reported on PEP, the actor, who won for his performance in "Born Beautiful", accepted the award that was held in Manila, besting two other contenders - Thailand's Teeradon Supapunpinyo and Krissanapoom Pibulsonggram.
del Rosario shared the good news on social media on 11 January with a photo of him with the said accolade, writing, "Truly honored to receive the Best Leading Male Performance award from the Asian Television Awards digital."
del Rosario was not the only PH representative to win at the event. The iFlix Filipino drama "Mystified" won in the Best Single Drama or Telemovie category, while GMA-7's "Barangay 143" won Best Theme Song.
In "Born Beautiful" - the spin-off of Jun Lana's "Die Beautiful", del Rosario replaces Christian Bables as Barbs Cordero, who struggles to come to terms with her identity and tries to start living again as a man through conversion therapy.
The 24th Asian Television Awards ran from 11 to 12 January at the Newport Theater at Resorts World Manila.
