Marketing EVP Loren Schwartz Leaving Warner Bros

EXCLUSIVE: After a little over a year at the studio, EVP Loren Schwartz is leaving Warner Bros, where he held the title of EVP Genre Marketing and Advertising as the studio decided to integrate genre marketing duties across its team. He had been reporting directly to president of worldwide marketing Blair Rich. The position will be re-integrated back into the wider group, we are told, and the position will not be filled.

The move to bring Schwartz was to have a dedicated person to handle the genre films, but the studio simply didn’t have enough of that kind of product, so his duties will be folded into the existing structure.

While at the studio, he worked on Barbershop 3: The Next Cut. Schwartz, who has long worked in the industry as a marketing executive, came to the studio directly from Screen Gems where he also served as an EVP and worked on such titles as Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead, Resident Evil, Heaven Is For Real, Think Like A Man and The Vow.
