Mark Zuckerberg’s creating his own JARVIS, which Robert Downey Jr has offered to voice

One of the world’s most famous tech billionaires is out to build his own artificial intelligence system akin to that of Tony Stark – and it looks like he may have some assistance from Stark himself.

Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg is working on his very own JARVIS, and AI which would essentially run his household in much the way JARVIS runs Stark’s in the ‘Iron Man’ movies.

Zuckerberg announced the plan as his “personal challenge for 2016” back in January, explaining, “I’m going to start by exploring what technology is already out there. Then I’ll start teaching it to understand my voice to control everything in our home – music, lights, temperature and so on.“

And it would seem his efforts have proved fruitful, as he announced this week, “It’s time to give my AI Jarvis a voice. Who should I ask to do it?”

After a follower suggested either Robert Downey Jr or Benedict Cumberbatch, Downey himself stepped up, declaring, “I’ll do in a heartbeat if [JARVIS/Vision actor Paul] Bettany gets paid and donates it to a cause of Cumberbatch’s choosing… that’s the right kind of STRANGE!“

To this, Zuckerberg replied, "This just got real.”

Assuming Zuckerberg is successful, it’s not yet clear as to whether or not he intends to use his JARVIS to help him pilot his own Iron Man suit somewhere down the line.

In the meantime, we’ll next see Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark/Iron Man in next summer’s Marvel movie ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming,’ in cinemas 7 July 2017.
