Mark Reyes wants to wait for Amihan

The "Encantadia" director says that he wants Kylie Padilla back as Amihan in Book 2

21 Aug - "Encantadia" director Mark Reyes recently revealed one of the reasons why Book 2 of the hit fantasy drama will not begin production anytime soon.

As reported on PEP, the director who spoke to the media at the press conference of his new project, "My Korean Jagiya", stated that aside from the fact that they will take time to present the best storyline for a sequel, the studio is also waiting for one of their lead actresses, Kylie Padilla to return.

Padilla, who starred as Amihan in the prequel/retelling earlier, had to leave the show back in February due to her pregnancy. She had since gave birth to her baby boy, Alas Joaquin and is currently in confinement.

"I think the magic of [Encantadia] is the four sisters, and that we should bring back Amihan. But we are waiting for Kylie to be ready so that the four sisters are complete again," he said.

And while GMA Executive Lilybeth Rasonable reminded viewers that it took the network 11 years to make another "Encantadia" after the success of the 2005 series, Reyes assured that fans will not have to wait that long for the sequel.
