Mark Hamill thinks Carrie Fisher's name should replace Donald Trump's on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame keeps getting destroyed so Mark Hamill has come up with a great solution to the problem: replace it with a star for Carrie Fisher.
The Star Wars actor made the suggestion on Twitter after the West Hollywood City Council voted unanimously to permanently remove the President’s star from its location.

Plenty of people agreed with the suggestion as the tweet earned over 16,000 retweets and over 65,500 likes too.
It’s a wonder that Fisher, who passed away in December 2016, hasn’t already got a star on Hollywood Boulevard but she wouldn’t be the first person to get one posthumously.
165 stars have been added posthumously including ones for Dorothy Dandrige (1983), Natalie Wood (1987), Bruce Lee (1993). Chris Farley (2005) and most Richard Burton (2013).
The main stipulation for having a posthumous star is that the deceased must be dead for at least five years, so technically Fisher doesn’t qualify for one just yet but we’re sure they could make an exception for the Disney princess.
Star Wars fans will see the late actress in action again in JJ Abrams’ Episode IX, thanks to footage shot during the making of The Last Jedi, with director Rian Johnson.
Meanwhile, the man who destroyed Trump’s star has been officially charged by police for the act of vandalism, though now the star is being removed we’re sure he thinks it was worth it.
Star Wars Episode IX is set for release in December, 2019.
