Mark Hamill Gives the Galaxy’s Most Amazing Autographs

image

If you ever plan to approach Mark Hamill for an autograph, make sure you have a Star Wars baseball card handy. As it turns out, the man otherwise known as Luke Skywalker has made an artform out of prefacing his John Hancock with hilarious captions on vintage collectible cards.

The evidence surfaced late last week when Star Wars/autograph enthusiast Steve Grad shared a batch of Hamill’s handwork, featuring amusing notes like “Keep This In Your Wallet If You Are a Pansy Fan Boy” and “This Is One Really Crappy Card,” on his Facebook page. Hamill, who will return to the role that made him a movie icon in December’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, confirmed the authenticity of the grafs on his Twitter page over the weekend, though appeared less-than-thrilled that one of the signatures featuring some drug humor (see below) saw the light of day.

“I try to amuse people if I can,” Hamill wrote. “The pot joke was by request of an adult who promised to keep the cards to himself.”
