Marian Rivera wants to shoot TV series again

3 May – After three years of hiatus from acting work, Marian Rivera recently expressed her interest to do another television series.

As reported on Inquirer, the former Kapuso Primetime Queen shared her intention in a virtual interview with good friend Boobay, stating, "I am looking forward to making a series again, and hopefully next time I'll be able to work with Dingdong again."

It is noted that Rivera was last seen acting alongside husband Dingdong Dantes in 2016's "Encantadia", though only in cameo roles. The two have starred in hit Kapuso dramas like, "Dyesebel" and "MariMar" prior to their marriage.

Nonetheless, the actress stated that she is not yet ready to get back to work for now due to the pandemic, and would prefer to stay home and shoot her show, "Tadhana" from home with her husband directing.

Prior to her hiatus, Rivera was originally scheduled to film the GMA series, "First Yaya" alongside Gabby Concepcion. However, she decided to back out after the pandemic forced the cast and crew to implement lock-in tapings.

At the time, Rivera stated that it was not feasible for her as a mother to be away for a long time from her two children - daughter Maria Letizia (called Zia) and son Jose Sixto. She had since been replaced by Sanya Lopez in the series.
