Marian Rivera had second thoughts about theatre debut

24 Nov – Marian Rivera recently admitted that she had had second thoughts about making her theatre debut in Tanghalang Ateneo's "password: 03d1pu5_R3x" as it was a big step for her.

As reported on Inquirer, the actress, who has never performed on the theatre stage prior to the upcoming show, stated that she told her husband Dingdong Dantes that she didn't think she should do the project.

"He said, 'You can do it'. Just imagine you're doing television work," she said.

It was not until she spoke to the other cast members, which include Marlon Rivera, Katski Flores, and Yan Yuzon that she began to feel much more confident about it.

"Ateneo, theater... I was intimidated by the idea. I was nervous and shy. I didn't know if what I was doing was right," she said. "But they guided me and that made me comfortable. I hope it turns out well," she said.

The upcoming show will be a virtual play to be shown via Zoom. No details have been revealed regarding Rivera's role in the show.
