Marc Jacobs collaborated with Vans once again, and they really want you to scribble on their shoes
Just in time for summer, Marc Jacobs and Vans are back with another collab. If you’re a DIY-er or have just been writing on your Vans since back in the day, this one’s for you.
The Vans x Marc Jacob collab features their classic slip-on with artwork by Julie Verhoeven and includes Marc Jacobs x Sharpies so you can get your Basquiat on. If you’re in New York or Tokyo, you’ll have a chance to shop the slip-on sneakers at pop-up shops this Friday, June 16th, and you can enter their giveaway so you can customize your own shoes. (Plan accordingly, since each location will have under 150 pairs total.)
Vans and Marc Jacobs enlisted a cast of artists to celebrate the launch, each one putting their own twist on the customizable sneaker. The creations will be on display at the pop-ups but unfortunately will not be for sale. Take a look at some of the creations to get a little DIY inspo.
