Mani Fok says her artistes in Malaysia to stay until April

20 Mar – EEG manager Mani Fok recently assured that her artistes are currently still in Malaysia despite the restricted movement order (RMO) implemented by the country beginning 18 March.

As reported on Mingpao, the celebrity manager assured that the artistes are all safe despite the partial lockdown and would not be returning to Hong Kong anytime soon as coming home would mean that they will have to be quarantined for 14 days.

"If they return home and come back to resume shooting, they will then have to be quarantined in Malaysia for another 14 days. It would disrupt the schedule. So for now they are staying there," she said.

Mani added that a majority of these artistes have no issues with the decision and will follow the orders given.

"They are resting at a local hotel and will not go anywhere until work resumes in April," she added.

At the same time, Mani admitted that the situation has not been easy on everybody.

"The filming progress has been affected and hindered the artistes' other work schedules. I am also having a headache now," she added.

Earlier, Charlene Choi and Kenny Kwan revealed that they were asked to pack up their bags in the middle of the night following the RMO announcement and left the hotel in Kuala Lumpur where they were staying.
