"Mandarin Marilyn Monroe" Diana Chang passes away

21 Feb – Former Shaw actress, Diana Chang (Cheung Chung Man) has recently passed away.

As reported on Mingpao, news of her passing was confirmed by husband Stanley Scott, who revealed that Diana passed away in Texas of natural causes.

Saddened by Diana's death, Scott has declined to elaborate more about his loss.

Born in 1936, Diana, known to many as the "Mandarin Marilyn Monroe" and "fire-breathing lass", began her career in 1958, where she starred in "Three Sisters" and sang the classic song, "Cashao Bao".

In 1963, she officially joined Shaw Brothers and starred in movies like "The Amorous Lotus Pan", "The Monkey Goes West", and "Madam Slender Plum".

She then retired and married her first husband, a German man who passed away in 1993. Her second and last marriage was to Stanley Scott, and they resided in the United States.

She was 82.
