'Manchester by the Sea' Exclusive Clip: Trouble in Paradise for Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams
Judging by the clip above, exclusive to Yahoo Movies, Lee (Casey Affleck) and Randi (Michelle Williams) are your average blue-collar married couple. She gives him grief for too much boozing on his daytime boat trip, he gets frustrated when she passes up her beer-bellied husband’s attempt at luring her into bed.

But Manchester by the Sea is anything but your average story of domestic strife. The drama has been hailed as a “masterpiece” by Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, and others since its January debut at the Sundance Film Festival for its devastating portrayal of what this couple ultimately endures (the less you know about it the better). Both Affleck and Williams are also considered frontrunners in the 2017 Oscar race for their unflinching performances.

Written and directed by Kenneth Lonergan, Manchester by the Sea costars Kyle Chandler, Matthew Broderick, Gretchen Mol, and newcomer Lucas Hedges, who’s also drawing early awards buzz. The film opens Friday.
