Man Utd striker target gives two reasons why he ‘doesn’t like Arsenal’ and reveals his ‘dream’ move
KAA Gent striker Gift Orban has explained why he “doesn’t like Arsenal” amid reports linking him with a move to Man Utd, Chelsea and Tottenham.
The 20-year-old has been a breakout star in the Belgian Pro League since joining Gent during the January transfer window earlier this year.
They signed him from Norwegian side Stabaek and he has scored 19 goals in 19 appearances for Gent this year. He was unable to find the net against West Ham in the Europa Conference League but he grabbed five goals in his six outings overall in that competition.
His recent form has fuelled talk that he could soon be heading to the Premier League. Earlier this week, it was claimed that Man Utd, Chelsea, Spurs and Fulham have all scouted Orban and he is valued at around £20m.
Orban is under contract until 2027 so Gent are under no pressure to sell him, but they could consider cashing in this summer while his stock is high.
The forward has now been asked about a potential move to the Premier League. He admits his “ultimate dream” is to play in England but he “doesn’t really like Arsenal that much”.
“Playing in a big league,” Orban told Het Laatste Nieuwswhen.
“At a club where I feel comfortable AND where I play. The Premier League is my ultimate dream. Manchester United, Liverpool or Manchester City (laughs).
“I don’t really like Arsenal that much – it’s like they don’t want to win titles. They play and sell players – that’s it. I want to go somewhere where they win prizes. At Real Madrid they don’t have time for tiki-taka, there they just grab titles.”
It has been reported that Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag ‘wants’ to sign two strikers this summer. According to The Times, the head coach is ‘looking to ‘sign an elite striker — with Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane topping the wanted list — and an up-and-coming forward, which is where Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund comes into the equation’.

Orban could be considered a cheaper alternative to Hojlund, who is expected to cost around £40m.
Andy Cole thinks his former club should opt to sign Napoli’s Victor Osimhen over Kane as the Nigeria international “has got it all”.
“I like Victor Osimhen – I think if he came to Manchester United, the way I’ve seen him play for Napoli, he could do it at Manchester United,” Cole told William Hill.
“He’s strong, he’s physical, he can stretch the team and run in behind, he can score from wide areas, headers, crosses, he’s got good feet… He’s got it all. When it comes to numbers, it all depends on whether you’ve got the numbers to justify the money because if you buy him for £120 million, that’s your budget gone.”
