24 Mar - Following the huge success of 2018's "Hantu Kak Limah", renowned local director Mamat Khalid has expressed his hopes to make a comeback with a new horror comedy, entitled "Classmate Hantu Kak Limah, Hantu Kak Roziah".

According to Khalid, for the movie's main character, he is in the process of persuading popular local actress Fauziah Ahmad Daud, also known as Ogy, to play it.

"I haven't reached out to Ogy yet because of fear and respect towards her. I see her as the most suitable actress for the role.

"The reason why I want to cast Ogy is because I want to borrow her aura and solid performance. She is very good and I want to make this a high quality character and not created just for the sake it. I have prepared a representative to talk to Ogy and when she is free, then I'll go meet her," he said, as quoted by Harian Metro.

According to Mamat, if Ogy doesn't want to act in the movie, only then he will be open to casting other actresses but at the moment, she remains his top choice.

Talking more about the movie, Mamat said that it tells the story of Kak Roziah, who is a serious village midwife.

He is, however, unable to divulge more on the movie as it is still in the early stage of production.

Aside from "Classmate Hantu Kak Limah, Hantu Kak Roziah", Mamat is also in the process of finishing up the script to his latest project, which revolves around the 'pop yeh yeh' music.
