18 Sep – The month of horror is almost here and if you're the type who enjoys the thrills that haunted houses offer, you're going to love the drive-in experience coming to Malaysia next month!

Called ICEBOX (In-Car Experience), it is the nation's first and will kick of more themed drive-in experiences. ICEBOX aims to provide a fresh take on the in-car experience with this drive-in through a blend of state-of-the-art technology and spooky theatrics.

Befitting October's Halloween atmosphere, the first drive-in experience will be horror themed and called "KARAK: Haunted Highway", as it revolves around the eponymous haunted road in Malaysia.

How does this work? Think haunted house but instead of walking in, you drive in – into a fully enclosed LED pod with live theatrical actors that will make audiences literally jump off their seats.

This is similar to the "Stranger Things"-themed drive-through experience that Netflix USA announced last month.

Drive-in experiences have been gaining more traction lately due to social distancing (this way you get to have all the fun without any physical interaction with others since you'll be safely driving through in your own car), so much so that one of Japan's popular horror drive-throughs sold out on the day of release and currently has a waiting list of 1000 people.

Excited to drive into "KARAK: Haunted Highway"? Make sure you don't miss out on the fun, head to https://www.icebox.asia/ to join the waiting list!
