3 Oct – Maine Mendoza recently expressed hope that people will not compare her first movie with Black Sheep Productions, "Isa Pa With Feelings" with her onscreen partner Alden Richards' previous successful film with Star Cinema, "Hello, Love, Goodbye".
As reported on Push, the actress, who spoke to the media at the launch event, stated that she and leading man Carlo Aquino have nothing to prove and do not intend to compete with the aforementioned film, which recently became the record holder for the highest grossing Filipino movie of all time.
"We have no attention to attempt what they have achieved. We are very happy with the success of their film, but our aim right now is to make a good movie for people," she said.
As for a number of fans who are not happy about the break of their love tandem and the new pairings, Mendoza said that it is just a natural part of showbiz.
"That's all you can do if you want the chance to grow and explore as an artiste," she said.
Directed by Prime Cruz, the upcoming movie is set to be released on 16 October.
