"The Magnificent Seven" tops North American box office

"The Magnificent Seven" has gone straight to the top of the global box office on its opening week according to tracking company comScore.

The remake of the classic Western, which stars Denzel Washington as one of the seven, took $54.2 million USD at the international box office go straight into the number one spot.

Animated movie "Storks" went straight into the number two spot on its debut week, whilst "Bridget Jones's Baby," the third film based on the hit book series, finished off the top three. Tom Hanks drama "Sully," number one last week, now holds the number four spot.
