Macaulay Culkin appears as a crucified Kurt Cobain in bizarre music video

Macaulay Culkin has thrown another bizarre music video onto his CV – and this time, he’s playing Nirvana legend Kurt Cobain.

The ‘Home Alone’ star turned up in the latest promo for hipster darling Father John Misty’s new track ‘Total Entertainment Forever’.

The scene in question finds Culkin – as Cobain – being arrested by men in militaristic McDonalds uniforms, before being whipped and forced to carry a cross, which he’s then crucified on along with Bill Clinton and Jon from Garfield, all on lurid, cartoonish set.

But it’s OK – turns out that it’s just all a virtual reality trip, as seen by George Washington wearing a VR headset made of papier-mâché, while high on Viagra.

We did tell you it was bizarre.

Misty is often found skewering pop culture, and the video was made by the arts collective Four Gods and a Baby, which Culkin is a part of, along with his director pal Adam Green of the Moldy Peaches.

Culkin has appeared in Green’s work before, notably, the bizarre adaptation of the Arabian Nights tale ‘Aladdin’, released last year.

The former child star retreated from the movie business – and public life in general – for nearly two decades, following 1994’s ‘Richie Rich’.

He emerged again in 2003 in the movie ‘Party Monster’, and has appeared in the odd project since, usually with Green involved.
