Ma Yili and Yao Chen: There are good roles for women over 35!

21 Jun – Chinese actresses Ma Yili and Yao Chen believe that they are the proof that there are still good roles for women after the age of 35.

As reported on Epoch Times, the 40-year-old Ma who collaborated with 38-year-old Yao in their new movie, "Lost. Found", shared that there is no truth to the saying that there are no good roles for women when they enter their mid-30s, and that she and Yao are the best example of that.

"Actresses don't need to panic. There is no need to worry. The best period of your life is just around the corner," she said.

To that, Yao laughed and responded, "We're still considered young actresses."

In "Lost. Found", Yao plays a career woman who decides to hire another woman (Ma) to take care of her daughter and her household while she focuses on her work and her marriage issues. However, things go awry when the latter goes missing with her daughter.

When asked what was the most challenging thing for her in making the movie, Yao said that she had to run in heels and skirt.

"People may think that this is incredulous, but I believe that any woman can turn into a "superwoman" when the child is in danger," she said.
