Wedding season is fast approaching, and finding the perfect outfit for wedding guests can be difficult.
Wedding guests are warned off of wearing white to weddings, and advised to stick to a modest cocktail dress, although this is of course dependent on the bride and groom’s dress code.
Lyst has heard our cries for help and compiled The 2020 Wedding Report, to help guests nail the dress code at the next wedding.
The global fashion search engine has analysed people’s shopping behaviours, the buying habits among designers and in stores, as well as influencer and brands favourites across various platforms.
The report has found floral prints are still a hit for wedding guests, with a 46% increase on searches for the print design year on year.
It is an added bonus if your wedding ensemble has a retro neckline, as sales for the Khaite Beth dress spiked by 138% after Selena Gomez wore the design on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Lyst has advised on dresses with square or sweetheart necklines, while mauve and black dresses are also on the rise by up to 39%.
According to the report, classic pumps are being replaced by statement heels, in particular Amina Muaddi geometric designs or footwear with square toes, which have had a 162% rise in searches over the year.
Accessories are also hugely popular among wedding guests, from fringe bags, headbands and ear cuffs.
Headbands will continue to be in high demand yet again, as searches for the headpiece have soared by almost 30% over the last few months.
Jenifer Behr has been a popular accessories brand the likes of Beyonce and Kendall Jenner have turned to, with the Lorelei Silk Headband being the ultimate go-to.
Whether you are looking to follow every trend, or stick to just the one, there are plenty of options for wedding guests to choose from to suit their style preferences and budget.
