Lush 99.5FM DJ Rosalyn Lee said on Thursday (24 August) that it was her last working day as a radio presenter.

Writing on Instagram, Lee, who is better known as Rozz, said, “7 days to @lush995fm’s last day of broadcast after 13 years, and my last day as a radio presenter after 14 years. its a bittersweet feeling.”

Lush 99.5FM, known for its focus on indie and local music, announced on 17 July that it would be ceasing transmission on 31 August, 11.59pm. Mediacorp said the radio station did not attract enough listeners to sustain operating costs.

The DJ added in her post that while she was sad that there wouldn’t be a radio station in Singapore that showcases homegrown music and “dope tunes from around the world”, she was excited about her “better days ahead”.

After Lush 99.5FM’s announcement last month, Lee had posted a video on Facebook sharing her thoughts on the station’s closure.

“I was already planning to quit radio this year but Lush beat me to it. The last three years spent on Lush had been the highlight of my decade-long radio career. I’m so proud to call Lush my home and its people my family,” said Lee, adding, “To conclude my radio career on a credible radio station that builds culture and supports the Singapore music and creative communities is to end my radio career on a personal high.”
