Actress Lupita Nyong’o is not one to put a sartorial foot wrong and last night, the Hollywood heavyweight gave a lesson in the art of dramatic red carpet dressing.

Eschewing tradition, the 36-year-old paid fashionable homage to Jordan Peele’s newly-released horror, ‘Us’, in an aptly-hued red sequin dress by Attico at the London premiere.

While a seriously high thigh-split Balmain dress worked wonders across the pond, as Nyong’o scored more points with the London fash pack.

The actress’ latest flick, ‘Us’, follows the tale of a family who head to a beach house to spend time with close friends but their holiday makes a surprise turn, when a group of strangers – who are also their doppelgängers – show up on the doorstep.

Nyong’o – who plays the role of mother Adelaide and Adelaide’s doppelgänger Red – described the film as “a nightmare from from Jordan Peele’s mind”.

‘Us’ is showing in cinemas across the UK now.
