The Beyondfeel shoe was designed for women’s feet and aims to reimagine how supportive and comfortable a running shoe can be. It features a high-traction cushioned foam sole for a “softer heel to toe glide,” with more foam in the forefoot to support the way women’s feet tend to land. A seamless fully-mesh upper offers ventilation and breathability.

The style features a bright “juicy peach” shade with espresso detailing and an off-white foam sole. The shoe comes in women’s and men’s sizes.

The Further marathon kicks off today, ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8, with the athletes aiming to run their furthest distances ever, with the chance to break both distance and time-based world records. This could be the first time a woman sets the ultrarunning distance world record and beats the men’s six-day world record. The runners hail from around the world and range in age from 27 to 48.

The race is part of Lululemon‘s Further program which, according to the press release, is “aimed at showcasing just how far women can go with support and access to resources and product innovations typically reserved for men.”

“Women have historically been overlooked and underserved in athletics, and as a brand committed to helping all people feel their best, we have a responsibility to create more equity for our communities by investing to close this gap,” Lululemon chief brand officer Nikki Neuburger said via a statement, adding, “When supported with innovation and resources, we are confident women will continue to redefine the limits of what’s possible.

The brand collaborated with the athletes to design their Further run kits to ensure the gear could stand up to the most grueling training. In addition to the Beyondfeel running shoe, their gear includes the Support Code sports bra, which will be released to Lululemon customers in the fall. The tactical sports bra boasts a supposedly chafe-free design and storage for a water bottle and other long-distance running essentials like sports bars. Their kits also include a one-piece Runsie and cooling apparel and accessories, exclusive to the Further runners.

The popular athleisure brand announced the Beyondfeel shoe in February when they released their debut men’s shoe, a casual sneaker called Cityverse. A Beyondfeel trail shoe, also in men’s and women’s sizes, is set to drop in May.
