Luhan denies being paid a hefty fee for new drama

31 Aug - EXO's estranged Chinese member, Luhan has denied reports saying that he was paid an exorbitant fee for his new drama, "Zetian Ji".

As reported on Xinhua, Zhang Hongjie, the host of Chinese educational programme, "Lecture Room" recently shared the allegation on his show, saying that an insider of the industry revealed that Luhan was paid RMB 120 million for his role in the upcoming drama.

The issue of stars being paid a hefty fee was previously highlighted and criticised by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Film, Radio, and Television (SAPPRFT).

However, Luhan's studio had since denied the allegations via its Weibo, saying, "Such a rumour will not be tolerated. We have the right to pursue legal action if this goes on."

The actor also stressed that he has never taken a project based on the fee, but for the quality of its script and production.
