SINGAPORE – German luggage maker Rimowa has branched out to eyewear category, a first step into product diversification amidst this pandemic situation.

“As we witness shifts in modern mobility, Rimowa is committed to forging ahead with a vision that meets those changes head-on,” said Alexandre Arnault, chief executive officer of Rimowa.

“Over a year ago, we began exploring how to evolve our product ecosystem into one that caters to our client’s full breadth of travel needs throughout their journey. Rimowa eyewear is the first in this series of exciting product developments that translate the brand’s core design values beyond its iconic luggage,” he added.

The new collection will launch with two unisex sunglass lines, Rimowa Bridge and Rimowa Rim. The inaugural Spring/Summer collection features two classic shapes and several colours available in each.

The glasses are stylish accompaniments to a travel ensemble and yet another way in which Rimowa redefines functional luxury through relentless product innovation.

With contemporary styling and timeless form, RIMOWA Eyewear updates classic shapes like the aviator, square and pantos with traditional or coloured reflective lenses. The frame takes its cues from early aviation and pilot essentials, much like Rimowa’s iconic aluminium grooves first inspired by aircraft fuselage.

Rimowa Bridge sunglasses (S$480- 550 for polarized versions) and Rimowa Rim sunglasses (S$450) are available from today onwards at selected Rimowa stores worldwide and online at Rimowa.com.
